ecm software package provides prepares CD image files so they compress better, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ecm
ecm is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ecm package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ecm *
You will get with ecm package name, version, architecture and description in a table
